Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

CSI - Annual Achievement Awards Every year, CSI proudly celebrates every achievement—big and small—at our Annual Achievement Awards. This special occasion gives every one of our beneficiaries the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, growth and personal victories throughout the year, surrounded by friends, colleagues and the CSI family, and treated to a delicious, hearty meal. Those who have achieved remarkable milestones or demonstrated exceptional effort and determination are recognized with awards—not simply for what they have achieved, but for the courage, perseverance, commitment and determination it took to get there. Most importantly, this is a day to celebrate every single person with a disability, recognizing their abilities, their progress, their contribution and their worth. At CSI, we believe every achievement matters—and every person deserves to be celebrated.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
