Help Elle International by donating Tablets or Smartphones for for Online Health Screening
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
We are seeking donations of tablets or smartphones to support the delivery of online women’s health screenings in underserved communities across South Africa. These devices will enable safe, confidential, and accessible digital health assessments for women and girls who would otherwise face barriers to care. Why This Is Needed Many women lack access to personal digital devices, reliable internet, or private spaces to complete health screenings. This digital gap prevents early identification of health concerns related to menstrual health, sexual and reproductive health, fertility, perimenopause, menopause, and chronic conditions. By providing shared devices in community, school, and outreach settings, we can dramatically expand access to early screening, education, and referral pathways. How the Devices Will Be Used Donated tablets or smartphones will be used to: - Conduct online health screenings and assessments - Support digital education and self-guided health tools - Enable referrals to healthcare providers and support services - Collect anonymised data to inform programme design and advocacy All devices will be used in supervised, secure environments and configured to protect user privacy and data. What We’re Looking For: - Tablets or smartphones (new or gently used) - Devices capable of running web-based applications - Functional cameras and internet connectivity (Wi-Fi or data-enabled preferred) Android or iOS devices welcome Impact: A single device can support hundreds of women and girls to access early health screening, information, and support—helping to reduce stigma, improve health outcomes, and promote dignity across the life course. How to Donate Organisations or individuals interested in donating devices or supporting connectivity are invited to get in touch with us to coordinate collection, setup, and deployment. Location South Africa (devices will be deployed in schools, community centres, and outreach programmes)
