We’ll welcome everyone with coffee/tea/juice + muffins/scones as they arrive. Then we give 67 minutes cleaning our streets together. After that we sit down for a hot, nutritious vegetable soup with meaty bones + marrow bone, served with warm steambread. Hearty, nourishing, cooked with love by community aunties. We close by reading Madiba’s words and handing over dignity packs + gifts to 65 children. Food needed for 80 people: Bones, marrow bones, meat, fresh vegetables( green beans , potatoes, butternut, onion, Carrots,) soup mix, spices, oil, flour, yeast, sugar, salt, coffee, tea, long-life milk, juice, muffins mix (3 flavors), serviettes. I will collect from Khayelitsha/Luzuko/Gugulethu. Food vouchers are welcomed for beyond Khayelitsha and Cape Town donors. Every ingredient goes straight to the pot. No admin fees. This lunch is the heart of the day - after we serve and clean, we eat as one community.
