Help Ivatha by Portable classroom for Students

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

One of our classrooms is a Wendy house, about 4m × 5m, that is falling apart. It is no longer safe for children to use, and we need to replace it. Without a safe classroom, we lose learning space and have to squeeze learners into the rooms we have left, which makes it harder to give each child the attention they need. We need a portable classroom of about 4m × 6m to take its place. A portable structure is quicker to put up and fits what we can build on our site. It will give 20 Grade 5 and Grade 6 learners a safe, dry space for homework, tutoring and lessons. We are looking for a portable classroom to be donated and installed. If you or your company can donate the classroom, the delivery, the installation, or any part of the job, please get in touch. We will send photos of the classroom once it's in place.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
