How can you help?

Help The Grace Factory by sponsoring material and overlocking receiving blankets for premature babies.

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

In honour of World Prematurity Day on 17 November, we are preparing 400 maternity packs to support vulnerable mothers and their premature babies. As part of these packs, we are including soft, warm baby receiving blankets, and we need your help to make them! What’s Needed: We are asking supporters to purchase 1 meter (or more) of standard printed polar fleece from their local haberdashery store. Each 1 meter of fleece can be cut in half to make 2 baby blankets. After cutting, the edges should be overlocked to finish the blankets neatly. Your contribution can be as simple as: ✅ Buying and donating fleece fabric ✅ Getting someone or a team to cut and overlock the fabric ✅ When done, drop off at one of our drop off points Together, we can show care and warmth to vulnerable mothers and their babies at a critical time in their lives.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
