Help Midrand SPCA by Supporting Learners to Earn Community Service Hours for High School Learners
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Midrand SPCA while completing your community service requirements. To provide a meaningful, safe and manageable experience for learners, Midrand SPCA offers a donation-based community service programme. Donations received directly support the thousands of animals we protect and care for each year. How it works: 🐾 Select an item from our current wishlist or make a monetary contribution. 🐾 Drop your donation off at Midrand SPCA during our operating hours. 🐾 Bring your school's community service form with you or email it to us in advance. 🐾 Once your donation has been received, we will sign and stamp the relevant documentation confirming the community service hours completed. Community Service Hour Guidelines • 5L Pine Gel – 2 hours • 8kg Dog Food – 1 hour • 1 PEP Stormy Blanket – 1 hour • 1 Ream A4 White Printing Paper (500 sheets) – 1 hour • Monetary Donations – R100 = 1 hour Please note that these allocations serve as guidelines only and may be adjusted from time to time based on Midrand SPCA's current needs. Unfortunately, due to the nature of our work and limited staff capacity, we are unable to accommodate large numbers of learners for on-site supervised volunteer hours. This initiative enables learners to make a tangible difference to animal welfare while fulfilling their community service obligations in a practical and impactful way. For learners requiring a significant number of hours, or schools wishing to discuss alternative arrangements, please contact us directly. 📧 admin@midrandspca.co.za 📞 011 265 9935
