Faith Village’s Reading Room program provides a safe, secure, and supportive after-school environment for learners from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The program gives children a dedicated space to complete homework, study, work on projects, develop reading skills, and strengthen fine motor skills — all under the guidance of caring and committed staff. To continue running this impactful program successfully, Faith Village requires funding to provide fair and sustainable salaries for our staff members. We intentionally employ individuals from the Dunoon and Site 5 communities, creating meaningful job opportunities for people who are passionate about education and committed to uplifting their own communities. By investing in this program, funders are not only supporting the educational development and safety of local children, but also empowering community members through employment and skills development.
