Thornybush Community supports five Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, reaching 736 beneficiaries across communities in Mpumalanga. These include Wisani Day Care in Dixie, Tshembekani Creche in Islington, Good Life Creche in Welverdiend, Monako Day Care in Acornhoek and Nourish Eco Village (RISE) in Sigagule and Makrepeni. Many of these centres operate with limited resources and struggle to provide basic items that support young children’s comfort and wellbeing, including warm blankets. Through our community programmes and guest engagement activities at Thornybush lodges, volunteers make fleece blankets that are donated directly to the ECD centres we support. To continue this initiative, we need funding to purchase the fleece fabric and materials required to make the blankets. Your support will help us provide warm, practical blankets to children in these communities while creating opportunities for guests, volunteers and community members to contribute directly to a meaningful initiative.
