But… On Saturday, a message came through on a WhatsApp group about a dog with an injured leg in the Paardekraal area. None of our team members were available at the time, but others were contacted too 🙏 A heartfelt thank you to Dalene Jansen van Rensburg for reporting it and for feeding him — you truly have such a kind heart 🌺 Then yesterday, another WhatsApp message came through about a puppy crying behind some houses — but it turned out to be an open veld, with no way a pup could have gotten there on his own. Madelize van Zyl got her daily steps in searching the area, and she found him. Not a puppy, but a young male — and he ran straight to her as if he knew she was there to help 💔 After a vet check ☑️ and sharing his photos on social media to look for his owner, we realised — with help from group members — that this was the same dog from Saturday 😢 Sadly, he hadn’t been helped and somehow ended up on the other side of the boundary walls. But the good news — he’s now safe and in foster care with Michelle MA Wentzel ❤️ He needs to be neutered 💚
