Quality and Equality in Education Good education breaks the power of poverty. The most effective way to positively impact the future of a group of underprivileged children, is to facilitate and ensure quality education. The Viva Independent Schools are providing quality, independent education to vulnerable and underprivileged learners. A great risk to our school and organisation is that other schools [including government schools] regularly recruit our teachers away and we lose great talent, because we can't afford to compete with the going rate for good teachers. We are calling on corporations to take on the salary of 1 teacher for 1 year. There are different ways they may choose to do so. A donation to the Viva Foundation, earmarked for one teacher salary, qualifies for an 18A donation certificate.
