The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) aims to promote Climate Action to communities who are at risk and vulnerable to extreme events like floods, drought, cyclone, thunderstorm, sea level rise etc attributed to Climate Change. Nature-based Solutions will be promoted, and these are actions which aims to protect, sustainably manage, and restore ecosystems, that address societal challenges effectively and adaptively, simultaneously providing human well-being and biodiversity benefits. These Ecosystem Based Approach will positively contribute to Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Disaster Risk Reduction and Environmental Management.
