Help FUTURA Special School raise R50,000 for tools for special needs learners
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Futura School in Johannesburg caters for learners with severe intellectual disabilities and autism, aged 4–14. Many learners are non-verbal or require extra care like full-time nursing, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. Funds will be used to help with: - Sporting Facilities & Coaches: We have the space, but no courts or coaches. Sport helps our learners build confidence, teamwork, and physical strength. -Shaded Seating for Meals: Over 300 learners eat twice a day at our nutrition centre. A shaded, comfortable eating space will make mealtimes safer and more dignified. -Refurbished Play Area: Our younger learners learn best through play – but our current area needs a big upgrade to give them a safe, fun learning space. -Musical Instruments: Drums, hand-held instruments, and marimbas for our choir and band. Music is a powerful way for our learners to express themselves. -Interactive Boards & Child-Friendly Laptops: Visual learning tools and digital educational games make learning exciting, accessible, and engaging for every learner.
