Why Padel?

Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world—and South Africa is leading the charge. With over 1,500 courts and 458 clubs across 30 cities, and nearly 90,000 active players each month, the sport has captured the nation's imagination. Easy to learn, inclusive, and incredibly social, padel brings people together like few other sports can. Whether you're a seasoned player or picking up a racket for the first time, this is your chance to experience the excitement while making a real difference.

The Impact Behind the Game

At the heart of TimiaAfrica is a simple but powerful belief: many of the challenges individuals and communities face are rooted in unresolved conflict—within themselves and with others.

As a registered NPO and PBO, TimiaAfrica works across Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programmes in community upliftment, youth development, education, mediation, and peacebuilding. In 2025, we launched workshops addressing conflict resolution, mental health, trauma, gender-based violence, and skills development—equipping participants with tools to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create safer communities.

In Ga-Mogale, Magaliesberg, our intergenerational dialogues have grown into a Peace Vegetable Garden—linking food security with health, peacebuilding, and sustainability. Every rand raised at this event helps extend this impact, reaching individuals and communities who might otherwise face these challenges alone.

Event Details

Entry Fee: R500 per player (includes entry, padel equipment, balls, water, and a light meal)
Spectator Entry: R100 (includes a light meal)
Format: Doubles tournament—all player levels welcome, from companies or as individuals
Extras: Additional food and refreshments available for purchase
