Trauma counselling

I have been trained and have a year experience (Sandton SAPs) counselling victims of crime.

Individual's background

I am a retired teacher and have been involved in mental health and counselling much of this time. I have experience in facilitating workshops and have initiated many support programmes over the years. I trained as a Trauma counselor and found working with victims of crime fulfilling and gave.me a sense of purpose. I believe I was helpful in assisting victims with their trauma. Unfortunately because I no longer fall within the radius of the Sandton Police Station I cannot work there anymore. Douglasdale Police Station has their own counselors on site. I would like to 'give back' and use my time purposefully.
