The Ernest Foundation is seeking a creative and dedicated Social Media & Communication Officer volunteer to help us share our story, engage with supporters, and raise awareness about our vital work with women and children in Orange Farm, South Africa. This role is crucial for expanding our reach and impact. As a Social Media & Communication Officer, you will play a key role in: Content Creation: Developing engaging text, image, and video content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Social Media Management: Scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments/messages, and growing our online presence. Storytelling: Capturing and sharing compelling stories of impact from our programs and beneficiaries (with appropriate consent). Campaign Support: Assisting with the promotion of fundraising initiatives, events, and calls to action. Communication Strategy: Contributing to the development and implementation of our overall communication plan. We are looking for someone who possesses: Experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creativity and an eye for engaging visuals. Understanding of various social media platforms and best practices. Basic graphic design or video editing skills (a plus, but not essential). A passion for community development and empowering vulnerable individuals. Ability to commit to a regular schedule (e.g., a few hours per week/month).
