Sahara Shelter is a project of Phoenix Child Welfare. Sahara provides services to victims of Gender Based Violence. The victims being women and children are accommodated at the shelter and provided with psychosocial services other services to enable both mothers and children to be empowered. The shelter is in dire need of maintenance, part due to the recent kzn flood. The roof in 2 of the buildings are leaking and the laundry room is flooding whereby a structural engineer is needed to access the best route to undertake repair and construction volunteers as well as per the instructions of the engineer.
