Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Community Food Packing & Veg Prep for NPOs Book Now Share and help us reach more volunteers & donors Overview Help feed communities more affordably and sustainably. Many NPOs are feeding large numbers of people on extremely limited budgets. By purchasing food in bulk and repacking it into smaller portions, we can reduce the cost of each food basket by approximately R400, allowing NPOs to stretch their resources much further. We’re calling on volunteers to assist with food packing and vegetable preparation to support soup kitchens, children’s homes, and other community feeding initiatives. What Volunteers Will Do Pack 50kg bulk food items (rice, samp, mielie meal, sugar, and sugar beans) into 5 × 10kg buckets Cut and pack fresh vegetables for use in community meals Assist with general food prep and organisation Venue Paterson Park Multipurpose Centre Paterson Park Sports Ground, Norwood Location link: https://share.google/JrKVdnxDa9TaVeUbu Time Commitment 2 hours Cost to participate: R220 per volunteer What to Bring Comfortable clothes Sharp knife Chopping board Service Hours 2 verified volunteer hours Suitable for high school learners (IEB & DBE aligned) Tax Benefit Section 18A certificate available Contact For more information, contact Nicole 084 284 6452
