Help Africa Matters Initiative with 10 volunteers for Email Marketing & Supporter Engagement Strategy
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
We are seeking a skilled volunteer to support the development of an email marketing and supporter engagement strategy. This short-term, strategy-focused opportunity is ideal for a professional with experience in email marketing, communications strategy, or nonprofit engagement who is interested in helping a growing organization build sustainable communication systems. The volunteer will work closely with AMI’s leadership team to design a simple, values-aligned email strategy that strengthens supporter relationships and ensures consistent, thoughtful communication. Responsibilities include reviewing existing email communications, clarifying audience segments, recommending a realistic email cadence, and defining key types of emails such as impact updates, engagement messages, leadership reflections, and fundraising-related communications. The volunteer will also support the development of a short-term email calendar and sample templates that AMI can continue to use beyond the engagement. Ideal candidates have experience in email marketing or communications strategy, strong writing and organizational skills, and the ability to translate strategy into practical, easy-to-implement guidance. Familiarity with nonprofit or social impact communications is a plus but not required. This role is well suited for professionals seeking a meaningful, time-bound volunteer opportunity where their strategic input will be implemented immediately. The expected time commitment is 2–5 hours per week over 2–4 weeks, and the role can be completed remotely.
