Volunteer Events Planner Needed to Coordinate NRPD Fundraising Events for 2027 Description National Rescue for Poverty and Drugs (NRPD) is seeking a passionate and experienced Events Planner to assist us in developing and coordinating our 2027 fundraising events calendar. Our organisation works to support vulnerable communities affected by poverty, substance abuse, gender-based violence, and related social challenges. We are looking for someone who can help us create impactful fundraising events that will generate financial support for our programmes and increase community awareness of our work. The volunteer will work closely with our leadership team to: Develop an annual fundraising and events calendar for 2027. Plan and coordinate fundraising events from concept to execution. Identify potential sponsors, partners, and collaborators. Assist with event budgeting and logistics. Coordinate vendors, venues, and entertainment where required. Support marketing and promotional activities. Recommend innovative fundraising ideas and opportunities. Skills Required Event Planning and Coordination Fundraising and Sponsorship Development Project Management Marketing and Promotion Stakeholder Engagement Budget Planning Excellent Communication Skills Time Commitment Flexible, approximately 5–10 hours per month, with additional involvement during event preparation periods. Location Remote and/or South Africa-based volunteers welcome. Impact Your contribution will help NRPD raise funds to expand programmes that support individuals and families affected by poverty, drugs, and gender-based violence. Through successful fundraising events, you will directly help us make a meaningful difference in communities across South Africa. Ideal Volunteer We are looking for someone who: Has experience in event planning or fundraising. Is organised, creative, and proactive. Is passionate about community development and social impact. Can work collaboratively with a nonprofit team.
