Event Planning | Fundraising | Community Development What We Need The National Rescue for Poverty and Drugs (NRPD) is seeking a passionate and experienced volunteer to assist us in planning and coordinating a community choir competition that will celebrate the incredible talent of local choirs while raising funds towards the establishment of a safe house for vulnerable individuals affected by poverty, gender-based violence, substance abuse, and homelessness. This event aims to bring communities together through music, provide recognition and exposure for choirs, and generate much-needed funding for a project that will have a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. How the Volunteer Can Help We are looking for someone who can assist with: Event planning and coordination Developing the competition structure and rules Recruiting and liaising with participating choirs Securing sponsors, prizes, and partnerships Marketing and promoting the event Coordinating judges, MCs, and entertainers Managing registrations and event logistics Supporting fundraising activities before and during the event Skills and Experience Desired Event management experience Fundraising and sponsorship acquisition Marketing and public relations Strong organisational and communication skills Passion for community development and social impact Experience working with choirs, arts, or cultural events would be advantageous Impact of Your Contribution Your support will help us: Recognise and celebrate local choir talent Strengthen community engagement through music Raise essential funds towards building and operating a safe house Create a platform that uplifts and inspires individuals and communities
