Help Sizanani Mentorship Programme with 30 volunteers for new company partnerships, to contribute in any way
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Established in 2027, the Sizanani mentorship Programme is seeking new partnerships with companies and employees within those companies, to help us achieve our mission through at least one of our six Goals: - To provide a mentor for each of the 300 learners from Grades 9 to 12 who attend Saturday classes at St Mary’s school. - To organise workshops and activities that motivate, inform, and inspire learners to reach their highest potential both academically and personally - To provide career counselling, company visits, and exposure to help learners find their path after matrics - To help matriculants secure admission at institutions of higher learning and learnerships - To provide financial support and computers to students, and assist graduates with job placements and/or graduate programmes - To provide entrepreneurship training This year, we would also like to expand our activities and reach a new community of underprivileged learners, as well as run an AI competition and implement new workshops. As Sizanani is a registered NGO, with 100 % of its beneficiaries being Black, volunteering time as well as any donation (also in kind) can be part of your BBBEE scorecard, under the Socio-Economic Development (SED). Bursaries can also be counted under Skills development, and entrepreneurship training as ESD. We can also issue a Section 18A certificate for tax deductions. If your company is looking for an NPO to work with and contribute to your CSIR, please reach out to us.

Stay safe
- 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
- 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
