Help Women Horse Riding Development programme with 20 volunteers for Youth and Young Women

inviting passionate and committed individuals to volunteer in our upcoming Youth Horse Riding Development Programme, taking place in August and September 2026 across schools in Inanda, Durban. This impactful initiative will engage approximately 200 learners (aged 16β18), with a strong focus on empowering young women through equestrian activities, life skills development, and awareness around gender-based violence in sport. π₯ Volunteer Roles Required We are seeking volunteers in the following areas: π Equine Support Horse handlers and grooms Assistance with saddling, grooming, and horse care Ensuring horse welfare and safety during sessions π Programme Support General event coordination and logistics Learner registration and group management Timekeeping and session support π©Ί Health & Safety First aid responders / medical support Safety marshals to oversee riding activities π£οΈ Facilitation & Mentorship Youth mentors and facilitators Support with empowerment discussions and GBV awareness sessions πΈ Media & Communications Photography and videography Social media content creation and storytelling π Commitment Required Programme runs over 4 days (one day per school) Daily schedule: 09h00 β 14h00 Volunteers may commit to one or multiple days π‘ What We Look For Passion for youth development and community upliftment Interest in horses or willingness to learn Reliability, professionalism, and teamwork Strong communication and interpersonal skills π± Why Volunteer With Us Be part of a meaningful rural development initiative Gain hands-on experience in equestrian and youth programmes Contribute to empowering young women Make a direct impact in underserved communities π© Get Involved To volunteer, please contact us:
