Starfish Greathearts Foundation

Starfish Greathearts Foundation (SGF) was established in September 2001 with the aim to support HIV orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa, by working in partnership with community-based organisations (CBOs) through key programmes in Education & Skills Development, Early Childhood Development, Nutrition and Health and Wellness as well as social services. SGF also provides Capacity Development Programmes with the aim to strengthen the institutional capacity of CBOs to better deliver best-practice, innovative, systemic Child & Youth Care services to vulnerable, orphaned and at-risk children in South Africa. Our ultimate joint success would be a South Africa where all children are valued, protected and empowered to realize their full potential. With over 23 years’ experience Starfish has delivered innovative, sustainable and cost-effective programmes that offer mutual benefit and shared value for both beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
