Please read Elsie's testimonial below : Elsie: I am so glad I went to that meeting because it has changed my whole life. As a parent, I now actually connect and bond with my children. I am so much calmer with them. Play Africa talked to us about seeing the issues we have from different points of view. I never considered my children’s point of view and how the lockdown might be affecting them, just how it was for me as the adult trying to get through. This really is the biggest change in me. I try now to understand what the situation is from all sides. Practising this with my children means I try the same with other situations in my life. The biggest change for my children has been in their playing and their imagination. Before in our house I never played with my children. We now play together, it's just the way that I engage with them. We actually have a relationship now. It made such a difference during the lockdown because they can now talk to me, tell me what they might want or be feeling. This helps us make plans together about how to get through the time. This process has changed our lockdown but also changed our future.
