Volunteers wanted - October - December // www.tears.co.za: • Are you a Psychology or Social Work senior student/new graduate in Johannesburg? • Here is a volunteer opportunity for you. To Providing psychosocial services. We have 4 volunteer positions for 3 months. Starting asap We are calling upon Women in the Johannesburg / Northern Suburbs (Sandton) who qualify to apply for this volunteer position. TEARS Foundation is an essential service provider (www.tears.co.za) TEARS Foundation provides access to crisis intervention, advocacy, counselling, and prevention education services for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse. Confidential services are provided to all victims at no charge! TEARS Foundation is a women led organization, help is provided regardless of ethnicity, religion, culture or socio-economic background or location. TEARS Foundation provides assistance nationwide with a 24-hour free SMS service to anyone who has access to a cellphone. Requirements: • Located in Johannesburg • Dress code is corporate from Monday to Friday - Colour scheme is formal black/white/grey/navy/teal. o No strappy tops, sundresses, denim, or sneakers during week working hours. Saturdays are casual wear, where sundresses, denim and sneakers are allowed. • Own transport to Sandton • Working hours (8 to 5), minimum of 3 days a week full days, every second Saturday • Start immediately • Studying/Qualified in Psychology/Social Work • Free safe parking Dress code: business Black Position: Interventions • Answer calls • Contain and Refer victims of GBV • Follow-ups • Data capturing • Sending of emails • Updating files online The application form is attached below, fill in and send it to the email below: https://www.tears.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Volunteer-Registration-Form-Updated-June-2021.pdf
