Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

We are dedicated to providing women and children with the skills and knowledge to defend themselves. We strive to provide the safest possible training experience for our students, bearing in mind the trauma they have experienced. Your donation of Thick Gym Mats will make a difference by providing essential tools for practicing ground-based self defense scenarios such as rape prevention, escaping from strangulation etc. They prevent injuries and allow students to train with confidence.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
