Clubfoot is a common birth condition affecting at least 11 000 babies in Southern Africa every year. Untreated clubfoot restricts a child to a lifetime as a disabled person. They experience isolation, pain and poverty. Our programme supports children born with clubfoot through four years of life-changing treatment. We train health professionals in the non-invasive Ponseti Method which is over 95% successful in correcting clubfoot. Our network of 38 specialist clubfoot clinics treats more than 4000 children annually. Clubfoot should never define a child’s future.
