Bophelong Hoops Initiative - Netball & Basketball

Bophelong Rural Sports Development is a community-based non-profit organisation based in Mokopane, Limpopo, dedicated to uplifting rural communities through sport, youth development, education and social empowerment. We believe that every young person deserves access to safe spaces, positive mentorship and opportunities that help them build a better future. Our organisation uses sport, especially basketball, netball and community recreation programmes, as a tool to develop discipline, teamwork, leadership and confidence among young people. Through our Bophelong Hoops Initiative, we aim to revive community courts and create structured programmes that keep youth active, engaged and away from crime, substance abuse and negative influences. In addition to sport development, we support communities through skills development programmes, wellness awareness, gender-based violence prevention initiatives, food security support and youth mentorship.
