Children of Light Educare

To provide education that focuses on the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual development of children by establishing independent early childhood development centres based on the principles of Integral Yoga. In 2022 COLT reached capacity and currently 25 children attend the Educare. The beneficiaries of Children of Light Educare are children between the ages of 3 to 6, who live in three informal settlements, being namely, ‘Flamingo Heights’, ‘Mohan Avenue’ and ‘Hadji Ebrahim’ all located in the suburb of Athlone within Cape Town, South Africa. Children of Light provides: • Free quality education • Transport to and from home • 3 wholesome, nutritious meals per day and cereals sent home for weekends • Educational outings, and winter holiday program • Holistic curriculum: play indoors/outdoors, gardening, yoga, breathing, baking, arts and crafts • Health services from the local clinic: primary health care for Children of Light Educare ...
