Improved balance = Improved self-esteem
How our weekly sponsored Monkeynastix lessons improve not only balance and skill but confidence and joy in our children of farmworkers.
Mpho Nchabeleng is a three-year-old boy who truly suffers from severe fear of heights. This contributed to his poor balance. With the help of the Monkeynastix lessons, he has shown a significant improvement. These days we can hardly believe how much confidence and energy he has. Lesedi Nkosie is another toddler who, after much struggle, managed to overcome his fear. Improved balance once again led to better self-confidence. Winnet Mbishe (4) initially wanted nothing to do with the Monkeynastix lessons. She was afraid of heights, her balance was really poor, and she was extremely worried that she would fall and get hurt. Over time, however, she became so excited that she would remind her friends like clockwork every Wednesday that the Monkeynastix ladies were coming the next day! Today, she enjoys the lessons more than any other child. Winnet was usually a very quiet, inactive child. The development and confidence she has built mean that today she is an active, playful child.
