Slipper Day Party at Baragwanath Hospital
A Day of Dreams, Smiles and Slippers 💙
At Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, an ordinary day became something truly special when the Reach For A Dream Dream Club brought Slipper Day to children in Wards 43 and 44 and those visiting Zakithi for their check-ups. For a few precious hours, hospital rooms were replaced with laughter, creativity and excitement. Children decorated colourful hats, proudly showing off their creations before enjoying cupcakes, burgers and a lively dance competition that had children and parents cheering and smiling together. The true highlight came when every child and parent received a pair of slippers—a small gift carrying a big message of comfort, hope and community. For these children, the day was more than fun and games. It was a reminder that even during difficult times, there is still room for joy, connection and dreams. Sometimes, a simple pair of slippers can carry a powerful message: you are not alone, you are supported, and there is always a reason to smile. 💙🥿✨
