More about South African Disability Alliance (SADA)
The South African Disability Alliance (SADA) serves as the overarching body in the disability sector in South Africa. Comprising 21 member organisations of and for Persons with Disabilities across all demographics. The disability sector formally established the SADA in 2007, based on the real-life experiences of South Africans with disabilities. SADA was registered as an NPO on 25 July 2024. By addressing key policy and legislative issues, shaping public perceptions, and establishing service delivery standards, SADA drives systemic change at national, regional, and international levels. Our impact includes fostering self-representation, promoting inclusive policies, and advocating for equitable opportunities. Through collaboration and consensus-building, we empower the disability community, ensuring their voices are central to decisions affecting their lives while advancing leadership and advocacy for lasting societal transformation.
