Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. At The EARTH Centre, we are transforming the lives of children with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders from underserved communities through the healing and therapeutic power of horses. In partnership with public special needs schools across Johannesburg, The EARTH Centre provides free therapeutic riding sessions to more than 100 economically disadvantaged children every year. For many of these children, this is an opportunity they would otherwise never have access to. Often described as "occupational therapy on horseback," these sessions do far more than teach riding skills. They help children build confidence, reduce anxiety, improve communication and concentration and strengthen motor skills. Just as importantly, they foster a sense of connection and belonging. Every ride brings them one step closer to overcoming barriers to learning and unlocking their potential. The impact extends far beyond the arena...
