More about The EARTH Centre NPC
The EARTH Centre is passionately empowering disadvantaged children with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders through horses, minimizing their barriers to future learning & opportunities. We partner with public special needs schools in the Johannesburg area to provide therapeutic riding services to more than one hundred economically disadvantaged children, each year, free of charge. Our riding therapy sessions, which can be described as ‘occupational therapy on horseback,’ impact the cognitive, physical, and emotional development of young children with special needs. Specific benefits include the reduction of anxiety, and improvements in attention, confidence, communication, relationship and/or motor skills.
