Threads for Ikasi Foundation is a non-profit organisation working to improve access to education by addressing an often-overlooked barrier: a lack of basic school essentials. In many township and rural communities, going without basic items such as a uniform or warm clothing is more than an inconvenience, it is a barrier to learning. It affects attendance, confidence, and a learner’s ability to engage fully in class. We exist to remove these barriers in practical, measurable ways, ensuring no child is held back by circumstances beyond their control and that every learner has a fair opportunity to succeed. We run targeted, high-impact initiatives that directly support learners, including: • Back-to-School Uniform Campaigns: equipping learners with full uniforms to start the academic year with confidence • Fudumala School Jersey Drive: providing warmth during winter to improve comfort and concentration • TFI Dignity Packs Initiative: addressing essential hygiene needs that affect ...
