Help National Rescue for Poverty & Drugs by Buy a Ticket or 10 for Melody for Change Benefit Concert
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
National Rescue for Poverty and Drugs (NRPD) is hosting our flagship fundraising concert, Melody for Change, on 19 September 2026 at the CTICC. This major event has a profound mission: 100% of the funds raised from ticket sales will go directly toward establishing a dedicated, sustainable safe house for victims of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the Western Cape. We desperately need the support of the forgood community to help us sell out the venue and bring this safe house to reality. We are appealing to individuals, groups, and corporates to support us by: Purchasing Tickets: Buy tickets for yourself, your family, or your friends to enjoy an incredible night of music and unity for a vital cause. Corporate Block-Bookings: Companies can purchase blocks of tickets to use for staff rewards, team-building, or client appreciation. Why support this need? By buying a ticket, you are directly funding a literal sanctuary for women and children fleeing crisis. Furthermore, as an approved Section 18A PBO, NRPD will gladly issue a Section 18A Tax Certificate to corporate partners for block ticket bookings, allowing your company to claim tax deductions on your support. Please click 'Respond to Need' to receive our direct ticketing links (Quicket/Webtickets) and view our official event details.

- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
