Help Project Literacy by Donating a Bus for converting into a mobile library
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Help Us Restore the Big Blue Book Bus Project Literacy is reaching out to partners, donors, and supporters with an urgent and heartfelt request. For a period, we proudly operated the Big Blue Book Bus, a mobile library that brought books, literacy support, and hope directly to schools and communities with limited access to resources. However, the donor who initially provided the bus has now taken it back under their own management. This means we are currently without a mobile library, and the schools and children who relied on this service are at risk of losing consistent access to reading materials and literacy support. In just 10 months of operating the Big Blue Book Bus, we witnessed remarkable impact. One of our beneficiaries went on to participate in the National Reading Riot competition and secured 2nd place - a powerful reflection of what access to books and literacy support can achieve. We cannot allow this momentum to be lost. The children we serve deserve continuity, encouragement, and the opportunity to thrive. Our Call to Action We are looking for a donor or partner who can: • Donate a bus, or • Support the purchase and conversion of a bus into a mobile library This will enable us to: • Continue serving our beneficiary schools • Sustain reading programmes already in place • Maintain trust and credibility within the communities we serve • Ensure that no child loses hope due to lack of access to books Be Part of the Story Your support can help us put books back on the road and continue changing lives- one child, one story at a time. If you can assist or would like to partner with us, please get in touch with us on yondela@projectliteracy.org.za or via WhatsApp 069 874 8748. Together, we can ensure that every child has access to the tools they need to read, learn, and succeed.
