How can you help?
Help Squ Foundation by donating dance mats for our children's dance classes.
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Squ Foundation is a 100% Black women‑led nonprofit and registered Public Beneficiary Organisation (PBO), based in Naledi, Soweto. We run three vibrant dance classes for children and youth, creating safe spaces for self‑expression, resilience, and empowerment. To ensure our dancers can train safely and comfortably, we are seeking donations of dance mats. These mats will help protect learners from injury, improve performance, and allow us to expand our classes with confidence. By contributing dance mats, you’ll be directly supporting young people’s growth, creativity, and wellbeing — helping us nurture talent and inspire lasting change in our community. What we need: Dance mats (new or gently used) for 3 classes Delivery or drop‑off in Soweto Impact: Your donation will enable over 60 learners to train safely each week, strengthening their skills and confidence through dance.

- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
