Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

At the Sunshine Life Centre, we believe that no one can reach their potential on an empty stomach. One of our key responsibilities is to ensure that people in our community have access to food. But we’re not here just to meet short-term needs—we’re here to build long-term change. Everyone who comes to us receives an initial food parcel. This first step helps meet urgent needs and builds trust. But to receive further food support, individuals are invited to attend our training sessions. These workshops focus on skills development and economic empowerment, giving people the tools to create a better future. After each session, participants receive a food voucher to exchange for another food parcel. In this way, food becomes more than just a meal—it becomes the gateway to education, opportunity, and long-term transformation. Your food donation does more than feed someone today—it helps build a stronger, more self-reliant community for tomorrow.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
