Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Did you know? In 2021, Stats SA revealed that 15% (2.6 million) and 6% (1.1 million) of households faced inadequate and severely inadequate access to food. Notably, two-thirds of these affected households were in urban areas, with nearly half a million residents in major cities like Cape Town (240,970) and Johannesburg (238,610). This data underscores the urgent need to tackle food insecurity in urban centres. At Just Grace, our Feeding Scheme is on a mission to make a meaningful impact. Our feeding scheme provides an average of 16,700 meals per year to school learners on our Youth Development Programme and participants on our Skills Development Programme. The meals are made daily and provide vital sustenance. Our Youth Development Programme focuses on empowering young people with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, while our Skills Development Programme offers training in barista skills, sewing, and accounting. We believe that providing nutritious meals is an essential part of our programmes. When participants have access to healthy food, they can better focus on learning and building their skills. We are proud of the impact our feeding scheme has had on the lives of those we serve. However, we cannot do it alone. We rely on the generosity of donors like you to keep our programmes running and to continue providing meals.
