Help Khulisa Social Solutions by donating sewing machines for Community Skills and Livelihood Pro
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
We seek donations of sewing machines (new or refurbished) and basic sewing equipment to support community-based NGOs participating in our capacity-building programmes across South Africa. For nearly 30 years, Khulisa has worked with community organisations to strengthen local capacity, promote social cohesion, and support sustainable livelihood initiatives in underserved communities. Sewing and textile projects are one of the most practical ways NGOs can develop skills, create income-generating opportunities, and support community needs. Donated machines will be used for initiatives such as: • School uniform repairs and production • Reusable sanitary pad programmes for girls and women • Clothing repair and tailoring services • Disability-inclusive skills development projects • Textile recycling and upcycling initiatives These projects primarily benefit women, youth, and persons with disabilities, while helping NGOs develop sustainable micro-enterprises. All equipment will be allocated to vetted community organisations within Khulisa’s development programmes, and donors will receive feedback on the community impact created. Your support can help communities develop practical skills and build sustainable livelihoods. If you are able to assist, please contact us to discuss this initiative further.
