Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

The Amabali (Story) Champs programme, run by SRDL, is a transformative initiative that unlocks the creative potential of primary school learners from underprivileged areas of Philippi in Cape Town. By providing a platform for these young minds to express themselves, we're fostering a love for storytelling and giving a voice to the often-unheard narratives of township children. To date, we've had the privilege of working with talented young writers, and our efforts have culminated in the publication of 15 remarkable stories. These stories are a testament to the boundless imagination and creativity that exists within these young individuals. This achievement is a stepping stone, and we're eager to continue nurturing their artistic growth. As we move forward, we're seeking to take our programme to the next level by introducing a digital dimension to our storytelling initiative. To achieve this, we're in need of phones and tablets to enable our young storytellers to transform their written stories into engaging digital content. This will not only enhance the storytelling experience but also provide an outlet for these children to share their voices with a wider audience. By supporting the Amabali (Story) Champs programme, you'll be contributing to a movement that empowers young learners to express themselves creatively, provides a platform for township children to share their stories, fosters a love for reading and writing, and develops essential digital skills.
