Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

In the Eastern Cape, customary circumcision remains a deeply valued cultural practice. However, each year young boys continue to lose their lives or suffer preventable harm due to inadequate care, dehydration, poor monitoring, and limited access to resources during the initiation process. These tragedies are not a reflection of culture itself, but of gaps in safety, awareness, and support. Ilima Lesizwe NGO exists to bridge this gap. Our work focuses on promoting safe, dignified, and compliant customary circumcision practices through community engagement, monitoring, advocacy, and education. Many initiation schools are located in remote areas with limited infrastructure, making oversight and rapid response extremely challenging. Without proper transport, water supply, educational materials, and trained community monitors, preventable risks increase significantly. Logistical Needs for Ilima Lesizwe NGO 1.
