Help Ebenhaeser Home for the Aged Cloetesville Stellenbosch by Elbow taps for Frail Elderly Residents and Staff
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
We are currently seeking sponsorship or a donation-in-kind for medical elbow-action taps to replace the standard twist-taps throughout our facility. This project is a critical priority for us as it simultaneously addresses three vital areas of our operations: Infection Control & Hygiene: Frail residents are highly vulnerable to cross-contamination. Elbow-action taps eliminate the need for hand contact, drastically reducing the transmission of pathogens and elevating our infection control standards. Resident Independence and Ergonomics: Many of our residents suffer from severe arthritis, stroke complications, or reduced grip strength. Standard twist-taps are difficult and painful for them to operate. Quarter-turn elbow taps will allow our residents to practice basic hygiene independently and with dignity. Water Conservation and Utility Cost Reduction: Standard taps are frequently left running or are improperly closed by residents with cognitive decline or physical weakness. This leads to substantial water wastage and escalating municipal costs. Elbow taps automatically mitigate this risk by making it effortless to shut off the water completely.
