We are raising funds to financially support a deaf child in need with the outstanding surgery funds for a Cochlear Implant. A Cochlear Implant is a surgically implanted neuro-prosthetic device that provides a sense of sound to a person with severe to profound hearing loss when they don’t sufficiently benefit from a normal hearing aid due to the severity of their hearing loss. By giving the gift of hearing to a deaf child, we will give him/her the chance to sustain much better life circumstances with good education opportunities, as we will include speech and language therapy & parent guidance. It will provide the child with the only chance of age-appropriate speech and language development which will result in independent employment as an adult in future.
