As learners across South Africa return to school, thousands of children in Limpopo and Mpumalanga are facing a heartbreaking reality: their schools were left damaged and unsafe after severe flooding swept through their communities. Classrooms meant to protect and inspire young minds now have collapsed or leaking roofs, broken fencing, and unsafe learning environments. For many learners, education has been put on hold. Help Uplands repair three schools which are in need of roofs, fencing and repairing leaks. -Portia Shabangu Secondary school -Tekwane Primary school -Jabulile Primary leakage Uplands is responding by helping rebuild three flood-affected schools, restoring safety, dignity, and hope: -Portia Shabangu Secondary School – roof damage caused by flooding -Tekwane Primary School – fencing destroyed, leaving learners vulnerable -Jabulile Primary School – severe roof leakages disrupting daily learning
