South Africa faces youth unemployment above 40%, according to Statistics South Africa. Many young people leave school without the skills, support, or networks to create sustainable livelihoods. We are raising R250,000 per year to deliver the Entrepreneurship Programme, a 28-week programme that builds the founder, not just the business. Participants will gain: • Mental resilience and personal development • Entrepreneurship skills using Lean Startup methodology • Financial literacy (tax, unit economics, business compliance) • Problem-solving for local community challenges • Business pitching and a “Market Day” pilot Each year, 30 young people from underserved communities will participate, reaching 90 beneficiaries over three years. The programme equips them to transition from job seekers to solution creators and launch sustainable small enterprises. Funding will cover facilitators, mentorship, training materials, programme coordination, and monitoring and evaluation. This initiative strengthens youth entrepreneurship, local economic development, and ESG-aligned social impact, offering corporates a meaningful way to support skills development and sustainable livelihoods.
