South Africa continues to face extremely high youth unemployment, with rates above 40% among young people according to Statistics South Africa. Many young women in underserved communities lack access to basic digital and AI skills required in today’s economy. We are raising R40,000 to run a 2-day Digital & AI Skills Bootcamp for 20 unemployed young women (NEET) in a fully equipped computer lab. The workshop will provide practical training in: • Digital productivity tools • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence • Online income opportunities and digital entrepreneurship • Career pathways in the digital economy Funding will cover computer lab hire with internet, facilitators, participant meals, transport support, programme coordination, and learning materials. This pilot programme will help young women gain practical digital skills and confidence while creating a replicable model for expanding digital skills training into township communities. Supporting this initiative contributes to skills development, youth employment, gender empowerment, and ESG social impact objectives.
