Help Play Africa raise R15,000 for urgent repairing of our Children’s Voting Booths
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
At Play Africa, we believe children are citizens, too, with thoughts, voices, and dreams that matter. One of our most powerful exhibits is a child-sized voting station, where children experience the democratic process in an age-appropriate, playful way. They learn about agency, choice, and civic engagement, often for the very first time. These booths are used regularly in workshops, school visits, and public events, but they’re now in urgent need of repairs to remain safe, accessible, and functional for future young voters. We’re looking for skilled volunteers or donations to help with: Structural repairs (hinges, panels, reinforcements) Repainting and child-safe finishing Improving accessibility for younger or differently abled children Why it matters: When children step into these booths, they step into a future where they feel seen, heard, and empowered to make decisions. By repairing this space, you're helping nurture the next generation of thoughtful, active citizens.
