Youth Day / Youth Games Event National Rescue for Poverty and Drugs is seeking a reliable and organised volunteer to serve as our Donations & In‑Kind Support Coordinator for our upcoming Youth Day / Youth Games events. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, coordination, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. 🧭 ROLE OVERVIEW The Donations & In‑Kind Support Coordinator will be responsible for managing all non‑cash contributions received for the event. This includes coordinating donated items, tracking what has been received, and ensuring everything is available and delivered where needed on event day. ✅ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate in‑kind donations, including: Food and refreshments Water and snacks Sports equipment Prizes and giveaways Gazebos, chairs, sound equipment, or branded items Keep a clear record of all donated items and sponsoring organisations Communicate with donors regarding: Collection times Delivery arrangements Item quantities and specifications Work closely with: Sponsorship Team Logistics Team Event Coordinator Ensure all donated items are received, stored safely, and distributed correctly on event day Assist with confirming donor acknowledgements and thank‑you information 🎯 SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED Strong organisational and coordination skills Good communication (phone, WhatsApp, email) Attention to detail and reliability Ability to keep simple records (lists or spreadsheets) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous admin, logistics, or event experience is an advantage (but not required) ⏱ TIME COMMITMENT 2–4 hours per week during the planning phase Increased availability 1–2 weeks before the event Availability on the event day is essential 🌟 WHAT THE VOLUNTEER WILL GAIN Practical experience in event coordination and logistics Exposure to community fundraising and partnerships Opportunity to contribute directly to youth development Volunteer recognition and reference letter (on request) A meaningful role in a high‑impact community event
