The Problem There are 166,500 dogs, cats, and others in the 5-kilometre2 township of Diepsloot. πŸ• πŸ• 🐈 πŸ” With only 14 vets per million, of South Africa’s 59,62 million population, typically serving animals in more economically viable urban areas. Over half a million of the 5.8 million people and pets living in 181 informal settlements and 57 townships, suffer from lack of animal healthcare. Just in Johannesburg. Animals needing supplies to be healthy, comfortable and happy! The Solution The Society's Mobile Veterinary Units assist animals and provide care in areas where there are no vets! Instead of asking for birthday presents, encourage your friends to donate supplies to The Society for Animals in Distress. 😸🐢 πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ We are 63 years old this year! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
